The "Mandate" S1 | Education
The Exaltation of Ignorance
Excuse me, but I cannot say his name. In a weird way, I feel like it just continues to fuel his desire for power and attention. Let’s be honest, he is just a puppet, whether it be Musk, or Putin, or Paula White and the Extremists behind Project 2025. He loves being in the spotlight and he is shameless. He takes pleasure in saying things that make the lefty libs go nuts and the radical right cheer.
After he won the election “Tropicana” and his followers celebrated the win and the control over the three branches of government. They told us the voters made it clear - he has a mandate. Those of us opposed were confused. What mandate? He didn’t win by a landslide… it was barely over 1% more of the popular vote over Kamala Harris. In his first address to congress he boasted again regarding a mandate. Al Green objected.
"You have no mandate to cut Medicaid."
No, sadly, he does have a mandate. You have heard Mike Johnson say it. You heard many republicans say it. And it has to do with the people who voted for him.
It’s the 7 Mountain Mandate (7MM) to have dominion over the 7 key areas of influence in society, and it is what Project 2025 is all about. Also known as the 7M prophecy, by having control of these spheres of society - Education, Religion, Family, Business, Government/Military, Arts/Entertainment, and Media - Christians can transform society to their way of life. Sounds like the Crusades to me, but I digress.
Lance Wallnau, a televangelist and self-described Christian Nationalist coined this phrase and believes Christians need to “rise to power and govern the nation” by having complete control over the 7 mountains. Each mountain has an apostle chosen by God to head each pillar. Wallnau has also been called the “father of American Dominionism.” Remember this name because he will come up again.
This is going to be a series of seven posts looking at each mountain, one at a time. I want to do this because it’s time to shine a light on the obvious manipulation of my Christian faith to push a malevolent political agenda. We need to know the real players behind the puppet president.
THE BASE
Another important fact about Wallnau is that he one of the chief propagandists of the MAGA movement, also known as “Trump’s Base”. This base consists of the 80% of white evangelicals that consistently voted for Tropicana in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 election. Many of the loyal followers are expecting him to fulfill the 7MM and make America a theocracy… An authoritarian Christian nation.
Up until recently, I did not connect the dots. This current day form of this Christian dominance began in 1979 when republican strategist Paul Weyrich and Fundamentalist Evangelical Jerry Falwell formed the Moral Majority Inc. specifically to create a voting block of Christians that could be influenced and manipulated. Now some might argue that he simply created a “religious right” voting block. However Weyrich’s writings make it very clear:
Our movement will be entirely destructive, and entirely constructive. We will not try to reform the existing institutions. We only intend to weaken them, and eventually destroy them.
We will maintain a constant barrage of criticism against the Left. We will attack the very legitimacy of the Left. We will not give them a moment's rest.
Our reality TV show host is allowing the dismantling of our government by Elon Musk to show his base followers that he taking control over these 7 mountains. Is it fake reality or does he really believe in the prophecy?
We look in horror as the foundation of our democracy is hanging on by a thread. His base and the deceived are content and see it as fulfillment of prophesy. And the elite with the money behind the movement are taking control in front of our faces. Bernie Sanders calls it oligarchy. Man I wish he was president. But again, I digress.
THE EDUCATION MOUNTAIN
I decided to begin with the education mountain because just this last weekend many scholars and scientists have been protesting the DOGE captivity and shutdown of departments like the CDC, the NIH, and the NOAA. Looming over this dark cloud of destruction is the prospect of shutting down the Department of Education and specifically what that means for the education of our children.
Why dismantle the Board of Education?
Following is a excerpt from USA Today:
Republican calls for abolishing the department date to the Reagan era. They view the agency's existence as bureaucratic overreach and believe education is better left to the states. The department distributes some federal grants for programs for high-poverty K-12 schools and special education. But most money for public schools comes from state and local property taxes. Altogether, less than 10% of K-12 school funding passes through the federal agency.
Among the department's largest responsibilities are managing federal financial aid programs and federal student loans. It runs the federal work-study program and administers Pell grants to make college more affordable for low-income students.
The department also defends students' civil rights through its Office of Civil Rights. It investigates claims of discrimination based on discrimination based on race, gender, national origin or disability.
The Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 suggests moving the department's responsibilities and revenue streams elsewhere. The Treasury Department would take over collection and default of federal student loans.
An Executive Order to Provide More Funding for Private School Vouchers
This would take money from the public education system for a more privatized approach. An excerpt from Business Insider:
Expanding school voucher programs has long been a priority for Republican lawmakers -to potentially redirect federal funds for that use would mark "a huge ideological shift" in the conversation, said Derek Black, a professor of law with a focus on education at the University of South Carolina. "The federal government, since before we even had the United States Constitution, has put its weight behind trying to expand our public education system,"
Perhaps these two policies look like sound conservative plans with nothing to fear, correct? The “woke left” has been dictating and directing policy in this department and enforcing their agenda on our way of life, right? The CRT, DEI and Gay/Transgender agenda has infected our schools. This is rhetoric not reality. Paul Weyrich and Lance Wallnau (remember him!) are masters of propaganda. They evoke an emotional response by reframing the left’s agenda as 100% demonic in every way and that the Republican party is the party of God. Then the struggle becomes a moral one, a struggle between good and evil, which creates hatred, fear and distrust without rational thought.
Anti-intellectualism
This too, is part of the project 2025 plan; to return to the Christian Fundamentalist ideology of anti-intellectualism. What is that you ask? It is “the dismissal and distrust of expertise” and it is on the rise in America today.
Looking at the cabinet picks I couldn’t help but notice expertise was not the focus for the selection. Linda McMahon as Secretary of Board of Education; chosen not for her expertise but because she can put on a good show! McMahon is the co-founder of WWE where she made a multi-billion dollar industry. In 2019, she lead the America First Action PAC, a white nationalist conference, for Tropicana’s re-election.
Psychologists say that “America is killing itself through its embrace and exaltation of ignorance.”
Anti-intellectual societies fall prey to tribalism and simplistic explanations, are emotionally immature, and often seek violent solutions.
Corporate interests encourage anti-intellectualism, conditioning Americans into conformity and passive acceptance of institutional dominance.
By dismantling the Board of Education they will cut off assistance for the poor and civil rights for the mis-represented. The crazy stories of the “woke left indoctrinating your kids” are quite simply not true. It’s propaganda put forth by Tropicana, Musk and their foot soldiers. Of course there are some disagreements that Christians have with some extreme left ideologies. And at times they seem to be “pushing their agenda” into what you believe your way of life should be, but the threat of them brainwashing your kids is simply not true. In a democracy, faithful believers can address these smaller, local incidences within each state and city council with civil debate. Majority wins in a democracy. This cannot be the existential threat Christians have been tricked into believing. As Christians we are never called to demonize people, bully or intimate, or strong arm our point of view to solve a problem. In a liberal democracy we have the ability to balance those small percentage of extreme left (and right) voices, with the majority of center-minded populations.
I found it interesting that the idea for dismantling the Board of Ed. started during Reagan’s Presidency. At that time, segregated Christian schools (and Christians) were offended by being forced to integrate their schools and lost their tex-exempt status. This was the catalyst for Paul Weyrich creating the Moral Majority Inc and then a secretive group of extreme right religious and social conservatives called Council for National Policy. I will get in more detail about this highly influential group in another post.
Classism or Separatism
Private School Vouchers will take the funding away from public schools. There is debate over how this effects the low-income students and what it can do to improve a child’s education, but in combination with Tropicana’s intent to cut federal funding to schools because they are “pushing CRT and transgender insanity,” the seeds are being planted. They are determined to redefine what children will learn.
Before you scoff me off as being a conspiracy theorist or hyperbolic, America has already been white washing history. I grew up like April Ajoy when it came to how I came to understand our Christian American history. This video shows where white-supremest Christianity is embedded within our country’s history and what was done in the name of Christianity.
Tropicana’s goal is to keep us decisive, ignorant and obedient and the Christian elites who surround him, are helping him distort doctrine to keep us blind. I know this because if he and Dark MAGA had any desire outside of power, money and retribution, he could have worked things out with congress and “the Dems” instead of shutting them out and he probably could have made some real improvements. They came to him with open hands after the loss of the election.
But instead he takes glory in winning and being the center of attention with all the power and continues to play his role in destroying democracy.
This is where I urge us to get specific. We need to shine a light on what these politicians with their dominionist agenda is doing to our faith in the name of power. And we need to speak up and disavow this when the 7MM is used as a false teaching. These Christian Nationalists have a specific plan to spread lies in order to create fear and division which only promotes anti-intellectualism. Our “assignment” as believers is to spread good news of love and peace; to love our neighbors and our enemies. All are welcome in God’s kingdom.
Jesus tells a story about a farmer who has field of good wheat. In the middle of the night the devil plants seeds of the weed (Mathew 13: 26-30) Jesus warns us that the weed and wheat look the same when they are growing and its not our job to pull the weeds out. We are not supposed to judge others and have power over anyone or any country. In order for Christ’s upside down kingdom to be realized we need to cultivate and grow God’s love in this world.
